✨Stunning Rough Wood Fossil Opal Necklace ✨

This is a natural opal rough that have rubbed to expose the colour (shaped stone called) . This material was a living tree 100 million years ago and the wood void has been replaced by opal. With fossil replacement its best to leave inclusions in as they can be hard to rub out. They make a great fossil specimen and can be cut or sculptured as they are.

This rough has come from a cutter at the Ridge who mainly uses a saw to face the stone rather than rubbing them down. I wrapped this beauty in silver plated wire and added a silver plated, dainty necklace to it.
